Who is responsible

Avanza Code S.A. is responsible for processing your personal data on avanzacode.net.

Address: Guatemala, Guatemala. We serve customers remotely, by email and WhatsApp.

• Data protection delegate or officer: Avanza Code S.A., at that same email.

What data we process

• Contact form: name, email, phone, company, message, product of interest, and the date and time of submission.
• Record of your consent: the version of the notice you accepted, which is kept in the email we receive with your request.
• Interactive map, only if you press “Show map”: when it loads, Stadia Maps receives your IP address.
• Site measurement, only if you accept cookies: a cookie identifier, pages visited, opening of the contact form, clicks on the WhatsApp button, form submissions, and device and browser type.
• WhatsApp: if you write to us there, WhatsApp processes your number and messages under its own terms. We use what you send us.
• We do not ask for sensitive personal data, such as health, beliefs or biometric data. Please do not include them in your message.

Why we use it

We do not use your data for purposes other than these:

• Answer your request for a demo, assessment, quote or information. It requires your consent, which you give by submitting the form.
• Follow up commercially on that request. It requires your consent.
• Measure and improve how the site is used. It requires your consent to analytics cookies; you can refuse and keep using the site.

Who we share it with

• Avanza Code’s email provider, which delivers the form messages.
• The cloud infrastructure provider that hosts the site.
• Google, provider of Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
• Stadia Maps, which serves the map in the Region section, only if you press “Show map”: it receives your IP address.
• We do not share it with other third parties, unless a competent authority requires it by law.

Legal basis

Your free, specific, informed and express consent: when you submit the form and when you accept analytics cookies.

In every country where we offer our services, including Guatemala, we apply the strictest standard among these laws: Mexico’s Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, El Salvador’s Personal Data Protection Law and the Dominican Republic’s Law 172-13.

Your rights and how to exercise them

You can request access, rectification, cancellation or objection regarding your data, as well as portability, erasure and restriction of processing. Exercising them is free of charge.

Write to sales@avanzacode.net with the subject “Rights over my data”, and include your name, the email you used to contact us and the right you want to exercise. We reply within 20 days of receiving your request and, if it is granted, we carry it out within the following 15 days.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, without retroactive effect: cookies from “Cookie preferences”, at the bottom of every page, and form data by email.

How to limit the use of your data

• Reject analytics cookies in the notice or in “Cookie preferences”.
• Do not submit the form; you can write to us on WhatsApp or by email.
• Ask us by email to stop contacting you or to restrict the processing of your data: sales@avanzacode.net.

Cookies and local storage

Analytics cookies load only if you accept them. If you reject them, Google Analytics does not load and we delete any analytics cookies left from earlier visits. The local storage below is technical and never leaves your browser.

Changes to this notice

We will publish any change here, with its update date. If a change alters the purposes of processing, we will ask for your consent again.
